This past Sunday, Josh and I met a really cool guy who moved out to California from Detroit. Our conversation got me thinking about last year's trip to Detroit, and how I'm still processing the experience. As I slowly wade through my photographs, I can't help but think that one visit was just not enough. I merely skimmed the surface of a city so rich with history, with presence, and lessons to be learned.
I'm a photographer living in sunny California. I love to photograph America's worn-out, offbeat, and forgotten corners, and work with color to give these places a happier, healthier life.
I'd love to hear from you! Send me an email at photography@jenzahigian.com and Visit my Portfolio at www.jenzahigian.com.
